One Hour in Baltimore, MD

July 23, 2015 – I asked people what the one thing I should eat while driving through Baltimore is. Their answer was crab cake at Faidley’s Seafood, so my first stop was at the restaurant in the Lexington Market. The verdict? It was alright. Just alright. The crab cakes were pre-cooked so they are just sitting out and reheated when ordered. It could have been a lot better had it been freshly fried and still crispy. I’m always weary of crab cakes because most of them are battered yet not crispy, but I just want crab that’s nicely seasoned, de-shelled, lumped and pressed into a patty.

Anyway, I then proceeded to visit Edgar AllAn Poe’s Memorial Grave (since I had just seen his dorm room the day before), followed by seeing Baltimore’s Washington Monument. Not a bad trip considering I was only driving through the city.
