Tom and Jerry's House

San Francisco neighborhoods aren’t known for over-the-top Christmas decorations because unlike the suburbs, there really just isn’t much space for it. We don’t have giant lawns to put displays on and our walls are usually connected to other houses. However, partners Tom and Jerry over at Noe Valley seems to be able to pull of a extraordinary job with what they have. Apparently, they’ve been putting up a show every year for years now, and I can’t believe I just found out this weekend.

I was driving down Church St. at night with some friends and we spotted a giant lit Christmas tree in the middle of the hill. It deserved a double-take so we u-turned and drove up the hill, only to discover a house covered with toys, stuffed animals, and two giant stockings with the names Tom and Jerry. This was on Friday, night, and I wanted to see it during the daytime so I went again the next day. They were still working on it! Neighbors told me that they do this every year and work on it every day through Christmas. Check it out!
