I finally got to try Burger Bar at Macy’s in Union Square. We went at midnight so we didn’t have to wait for a table. We all had just their basic burger – the Black Angus beef – with our choice of toppings. I think anyone who wants to compare burgers with other restaurants’ should stick with the most basic beef offered, right?
Medium rare with caramelized onions and peppered bacon in a sesame bun. The patty crumbled after each bite, yet the burger stayed in tact. The caramelized onions added extra moisture and the peppered bacon added extra flavor. It was about a $15 burger, so it’s not a cheap burger, but the quality was all there. I think I’ve found my new late night eats spot. Next time, Kobe!
