Sometimes, I want Mexican food the San Francisco way – using organic, local ingredients, and not in a taqueria setting. Well, Green Chile Kitchen is actually New Mexican, but close enough. The food is inexpensively priced for the quality they serve. I’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Their known for their use of green chile in a lot of their dishes, but green chile or not, everything is solid. This time I went for a New Mexican dish – their carne adovada. It’s chopped, cubed Niman Ranch pork marinated in red chile sauce and spices (overnight, said the woman working at the counter). The meat was very tender and flavorful and left me wanting to come back.
