Pork Hash, Mac and Cheese, and Fried Chicken and Waffle

Not gonna lie – the fried chicken and waffles at Brown Sugar Kitchen are legit. It’s worth the drive over to the East Bay. The fried chicken was excellent – battered, crispy and juicy – but what sets apart Brown Sugar Kitchen’s chicken and waffles are their waffles. Made with cornmeal, they’re airy and crispy, and when it lands in your mouth, it just wants to melt in there. Everything else was good too – the pork hash, the beignets, and the mac and cheese – but one more time … chicken and waffles! Chicken and waffles! Chicken and waffles!
