Sweetheart Cafe in Chinatown is one of my favorite places in the city for boba and fried milk, but this time, by Al’s recommendation, I tried their ginger milk. The way the ginger “juice” and the milk mixes seems so complicated, because with the slightest shake, they separate. I don’t think any other place in the city makes fresh, steamed ginger milk the way Sweetheart Cafe does.
