It was a long-short workday for me. I was supposed to get off at 2:30pm for the holiday but got off past 3:30. I didn’t even get to eat lunch, so I made sure to eat plenty after.
I planned on getting some chicken and waffles from Auntie April’s Chicken n Waffles in the Hunter’s Point/Bayview district – $5 for two pieces of fried chicken and a waffle – but when I got there, they were closed (or out on break), so I drove a few blocks down to Upper Crust. Fried catfish sandwich with a side of fries for $7.99. It was huge.
After lunch, I went to Baked in Potrero Hill. Cupcakes are only $2, which makes it a steal here in the city. Cookies were also delicious – everyone raves about Baked’s peanut butter chocolate chip cookie – but my favorite thing their is their butterscotch walnut blondie.
