Just a quick recap on the Myx Mash concert featuring Bruno Mars, Brown Eyed Girls, and T-Pain …
Aside from all the talking and spinning and random hyping of the performances to come …
Poreotix, winner of America’s Best Dance Crew Season 5, gave some short solo dance performances, followed by another short stage performance by Hoodstars. Then, the main show began.
Bruno Mars put up a good show, especially considering that he doesn’t have his own single out on the radio. He sang his two popular songs, Billionaire and Nothing on You, along with other songs. He also plays the guitar. All the Filipinos were going crazy!
Poreotix came back up for a short intermission and danced to a mix featuring quotes that the judges threw at them during the season. It was a fun performance.
Brown Eyed Girls had a pretty quick performance. I only remember three songs – L.O.V.E., You Raised Me Up, an American classic, and of course, the song of all songs by the BEG, Abracadabra. One of the girls, JeA, was missing due to visa issues. It was a little hard to hear them sing because the bass was too strong, and their performance was way too short, but at least we got to see them shake their hips to Abracadabra. That’s what we all really wanted to see from them, right? All the Asians were going crazy!
T-Pain headlined the night. As he said, he wasn’t there to throw a concert – he was there to throw a party! The crowd was having fun and everyone was dancing. He sang just about every song he had. Definitely a crowd pleaser!
I took more pictures, but something went wrong with them. So, my pictures from BEG’s Abracadabra to T-Pain’s stage time are all gone. Sorry!
