The newest hipster bakery in the mission is Craftsman & Wolves. The pastries aren’t cheap, but they’re definitely creative and unique. I only got to try a handful of items, my favorite so far being the passion sesame croissant. It’s not as light and flaky has a traditional croissant, nor is it as big as a traditional croissant, but it’s good for what it is. It had a passion fruit glaze on the outside and a sesame paste inside. It was a little on the hard side, but the paste added towards its moisture, and the whole combo was just something I enjoyed. The peach, buttermilk, lemon verbena, granola cube cake was also another favorite of mine, but at $6 for such a tiny slice, I’m gonna have to toss it into my once-in-a-blue-moon bucket. Actually, everything is pretty expensive, so with the amount I eat, I’m better off staying away from all those guilty pleasures.
