March 30, 2015 – My last full day in Taiwan. I’m gonna miss Taiwan. I spent the day eating some of my favorites: 劉家飯糰, Din Tai Fung, and my new favorite this year for dessert, 愛玉之夢遊仙草. I also spent the day gathering souvenirs: Q餅 from 聖保羅烘焙花園 (Saint Paul Pâtisserie) because I care about them more than pineapple cakes now, heh, and I decided to try a new pineapple cake brand called Funbox 鳳盒子. Aside from the regular, they also do a brown sugar and mochi pineapple cake. Something different. I also shopped more, this time at 師大 ShiDa and 通化夜市 TongHua Night Market. And the late night ended with more eating at a very local spot that I never knew about on 興安街. The cold noodles at 福德涼麵 are a must, as well as their egg drop tofu and meatball soup. And a few doors down is 碳烤包好吃 where I had some of the best grilled mochi ever.
Thanks to Anne, Jennifer, Alice, Shelly, Sean and Charlie for spending time with me throughout the day. I’m grateful I always have people around me.
