I’ve been going to the Taiwanese American Cultural Festival at Union Square for years now and every year I seem to stay shorter and shorter. I keep wanting it to be fun and exciting, but it’s just so tiny, which is fair since it’s not like we have the largest Taiwanese population in San Francisco, but the food always disappoints me. I’m better off going to a Taiwanese restaurant and getting some culture over there. Still, every year, I’ll keep hoping it’ll get better. It seems like this year, the younger generation is helping out more, so I hope in time they’ll figure out how to make the event a bigger success.
