I always go to Auntie Em’s Fine Foods & Pastries after eating at Karilagan since they’re right next door to each other. I always get their cheese rolls – a bit of a sugar rush but I love it there – and whatever other pastries they have. I also grabbed some of their polvoron: regular, pinipig, and Oreo (cookies and cream). Not bad!
This time, they had Filipino cupcakes: ube cupcake (purple yam), buko pandan cupcake, and red velvet cupcake. The ube cupcake was a moist and a little thick with that strong ube taste, while the buko pandan cupcake was just a little lighter and a just a tad on the sweeter side. Both were really good. Their red velvet was light and moist – much better than the last time I got it here. All had cream cheese frosting.
