Now here’s something I’ve never eaten before: buko pie. It’s a pie filled with young coconut. I’m used to eating coconut cream pie, but never one filled with young coconut meat. We kept passing by Colette’s Buko Pie at Pasalubong all over Tagatay, so finally, we went to one so I could try their pie. The meat was very soft and the crust a bit flaky. It didn’t disappoint. They also have other “pasalubong”, or presents, to take home in the form of snacks and candies, yema candy being one of them, which was not bad.
